Corpus Christi is the city in Texas and present on the Gulf of Mexico. The city is tucked into a bay and there are a number of beaches present here that make Corpus Christi a tourist city. I visited this city recently and was amazed to see its wonderful beaches, and parks. I am sharing my experience with the city here that will help you in planning your vacation in Corpus Christi. Some of the places I liked most in here and suggest you to visit include:
This is basically a barrier island present along with Texas southern coast. The island is home to Padre Island National Seashore. This is a huge protected area having beaches that shelter rare ridley sea turtles of Kemp. The area has Grasslands Nature Trail (GNT); here you can see beautiful migratory birds, boggy terrain.
Padre Balli Park
The park is close to Padre Island and offers surf breaks. The Bob Hall Pier Park extends till the Gulf of Mexico and here you can enjoy fishing. It is a recreational fishing hub.
The island is also a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico coast. The island has 5-mile long beachfront. It is a wonderful place to spend a day to two. There is no issue of finding accommodation here. The best place to get steal some relaxing time from the hustle bustle of city life.
Botanical Garden and Natural Center
Earlier the garden was known by the name Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens and Nature Center. The garden is spread in 180-acre of the area. The garden is full of plants and flowers. In addition to enjoying beautiful trails, greenery around, you can also purchase some native plants from here.
